We are super excited to offer pre-loved bedding bundles and sustainable kitchen packs.
Start your University year with our pre-loved bedding bundles and Sustainable Kitchen Packs, ensuring that you have everything you need to start your time at the University while joining the local sharing economy, which benefits your wallet and your environmental footprint.
How does it work:
To order a professionally laundered single or double bedding pack, use the Uni Shop link provided. We can deliver to your accommodation, or you can pick it up from our office at East Sands. The service is available to students, staff, and the wider community.
We offer kitchen packs on a loan basis. In your kitchen packs, you’ll find all the essential kitchen items, including high-quality or professional-quality pans. All our items have been carefully sourced from our reuse store, and every box contains some standard items and others that vary. You pay £15 plus a deposit for the pans (£80 for good quality and £150 for professional quality). Once you are done at the Uni, you return the kitchen packs, and you will get your deposit back. We will pass on the box to a new customer.
All your kitchen essentials in one handy re-usable box. By renting a Transition Re-use PRO Sustainable Kitchen Pack, you will reduce consumption and get an EXCELLENT deal. In each box, you will get:

Dr Kate Cowcher, Lecturer / Director of Impact, School of Art History:
“In autumn 2025, I supported a new PhD student who was moving from Uganda to begin her studies with us. The Transition Team, and their Reuse programme, were an absolutely vital support for enabling this student and her family to arrive in Scotland, and to have the resources, promptly, they needed. I am immensely grateful, in particular, for the provision of the bedding pack and of the dish pack, which meant that, after a very long day of international travel, this student and their family had the essential provisions (on arrival) that they needed for their new home. In the subsequent weeks and months, I know that my student has also been able to access further resources, from clothing to children’s toys, from Reuse, and that this has also been an invaluable support. I can not stress strongly enough how vital the services that this programme provides are – to all students, but particularly to those travelling from locations such as Uganda, where there are a multitude of complex and expensive hurdles, from visas to finding accommodation, to cross before making the journey to St Andrews.”
