After School Cooking Club (online)
During term time, every Tuesday at 4:30pm we meet online to cook low-cost, healthy and sustainable vegetarian meals, using as much local and seasonal produce as possible and catering for all taste buds. All ages welcome (with adult supervision). It’s super relaxed and just a chance to get some cooking-with-the-kids in the diary when the weeks always get so busy. Top tip: goggles double up as great eye protectors for the onion and garlic chopping!
You can sign up to get a weekly email reminder about the session, detailing what we will be making and a zoom link if you fancy joining. People are very welcome to dip in and out, depending on availability and whether they fancy making what is on the menu! Suggestions for what to cook are very welcome. Email Anya or register on this page.
Previous recipes have included homemade gnocchi and pitta bread, cheesy potato pie, savoury muffins, lentil dahl and lentil bake, crumble and biscuits, pumpkin pie and fritters, lentil patties, vegetable pasta bake, potato dumplings, pizza and soups. Previous recipes can be found here (under ‘Learn a Skill’).
If you’d like to host your own cooking club, email Anya and she can share Transition’s Zoom account details and recipe ideas.
