Birch woodland is an excellent place to search for fungi, either to forage for food or simply to lean more about the subject. This walk will give people the basics of what to look for in edible and poisonous species, as well as some insights into their biology and ecology. Walk leader Tony Wilson has 40 years of experience foraging for food and currently manages the site on behalf of Strathkinness Community Trust. All ages welcome. This event costs £5 (adult), £3 (child) – payment will be taken at the event (cards accepted).
