Sock Upcycling Skillshare
The wonderful Socktopus will be hosting us for this free sock upcycling skillshare! We will run two sessions, 1830 – 1930 then 1930 – 2030.
We will provide a dazzling array of socks of all sizes, colours, textures and patterns and show you how to turn them into sock toys, yarn for crocheting/knitting with, and brainstorm ideas for what you can make if you sew them all together! A skirt, a top, a cushion cover, a bag?? SUCH open-ended creative FUN.
The socks we will be using have either come as preloved-but-no-longer-wanted donations via our St AndReuse programme or are faulty merchandise donated by Socktopus.
Everyone is welcome but please register beforehand. Young people will need to be able to sew by hand or be helped by an adult to do so. All materials provided.
