Visible Mending: Sashiko Style

The lovely Kathryne will teach you how to do beautiful sashiko mending at this skillshare. Open to everyone, not just students.

All fabric, needles and thread provided but if you have any items you would like to mend, do bring them along. All welcome – recommended 8+ and able to use a sewing needle.

We love visible mending because it does two very important things: 1. it keeps our treasured clothes in play (less waste, fewer emissions, more money in our pockets) and 2. it gets the creative juices flowing – you can truly personalize your clothes!

Where our skillshares are free it’s because the skillsharers are volunteering their time and expertise, which is just lovely. Where we do charge, it’s to support local professionals, established or budding entrepreneurs, and highly skilled individuals who welcome some extra income.

This skillshare will cost £5 (cash only please – there is an ATM outside the Student Union building).
