Transition is looking for a new Sustainable Travel worker to promote and facilitate sustainable travel options in St Andrews with a special focus on University staff commuters. Its an exciting position at a time when things are changing rapidly around transport and the relocation of staff. The post holder will be promoting smarter travel options including car sharing, cycling, public transport and walking. They will also support a program of cycle safety by delivering cycle training, cycle safety and security. It will also build on the “Go St Andrews” travel brand through a range of social, media, events and engagements and look at creating new media like a travel maps.
The role will be supported by the Transition Project Coordinator and transition steering group as well as funds from the Smarter Choices Smarter Places grant.
You will be required to work as part of a flexible and supportive team to help fulfil the overall objective of Transition UStA.
This is a fixed-term full time position until 31 March 2020 with an expectation that we will be able to extend the post given funding.
