Sustainable Travel Officer

Having worked in the voluntary sector for the past 18 years, Nicola is passionate about the difference we can make by bringing people together. Working primarily on sustainable travel alongside Heather, she’s looking forward to helping more people discover some of the brilliant walking, running and cycling routes around our beautiful town and making active travel accessible to everyone.

After graduating with a degree in History, she worked as a volunteer coordinator at the University of Warwick and loved finding projects in the local community to match the many skills and great enthusiasm of student volunteers.

Most recently, she worked as part of the newly established Fife Climate Hub team and was completely inspired by the huge range of creative climate projects taking place all over the county.

Outside of work, she loves treasure hunting with her children at the beach, making things out of paper and any activities that involve being in, on or next to the water. So it’s a real bonus that the Transition office is just a stone’s throw from the lovely East Sands!

Nicola looks forward to meeting you at one of our free Bike Pool maintenance sessions or one of our many upcoming Transition events, but if you have any travel-related questions or suggestions in the meantime please get in touch with her!
