On the second day of Christmas my true love booked for me 2 stay-cations, one at Arbroath and the other at Glen Shee!
Our two suggestions:
1) Arbroath Sea Cliffs with a sea swim, climb or kayak
2) Glen Affric walking and watching wildlife (staying in inverness or Bearnock)
Take a stay-cation in Scotland this winter and next year too! We are not going to bore you with more facts and figures about the ecological footprint of the aviation industry or what flying does to your own footprint – you can do that yourself here. Remember the beauty in where you live and ask yourself how much of it have you explored!? Scotland is a place of wild and wonder. The quotes we found through the Scotsman say it all really.
“There are few places in my life that I’ve found more ruggedly beautiful than the Highlands of Scotland. The place is magical – it’s so far north, so remote, that sometimes it feels like you’ve left this world and gone to another.”
Julia London
We love a good stay-cation and cannot recommend it enough. It is often the experiences you remember and you don’t have to go far with a little imagination!
