The Active Way, a community-led project that aims to better connect the neighbourhoods, pathways and streets of St Andrews, officially launched via social media in late April 2021.

Phase zero has been funded by the ‘Places for Everyone’ Sustrans charity, and will lead into the community consultation around the creation of a cohesive network of paths and routes in St Andrews that encourage active travel (i.e. walking, cycling and wheeling) for all users.

The project’s aspirations also include creating spaces that bring joy and protection for all, cleaner air, and ensuring more opportunities for environmental wellbeing.

How to Get Involved

As the project progresses, and as lockdown restrictions ease, the steering group will host community consultations. For now, have your say by emailing your comments and active travel experiences to info@theactiveway.org.uk
